XC Sunday League -Trent Park

Location: Trent Park Country Park, Cockfosters Entrance, EN4 0DZ
Time: 10.30am Start
Course: 5miles/8K of rolling park and woodland (same as in 2017 edition)
Surface: Grass and gravel paths. Trail shoes recommended.
Facilities: Public toilets available near café and car park area
Kit: Unsupervised area around the start and finish.

Travel: Parking is available within Trent Park but is likely to be limited. Given the proximity of Trent Park to Cockfosters and Oakwood underground stations, use of public transport is therefore strongly recommended.
If you do intend to drive, please car-share as much as possible. There is NO parking available at Southgate Hockey Club, please DO NOT attempt to park there. Car parking is available at:

The Cockfosters entrance to Trent Park
Cockfoster Road, London, EN4 0JZ

Many thanks to all of our helpers who have been working hard to put this event on and GOOD LUCK to all of the runners, we hope you enjoy our beautiful course and have a great race!

Additional Notes:
• Please be aware that wearing headphones or other impediments to hearing is no longer permitted. Runners will be disqualified.
• Please be mindful that this is a public park and we therefore share it with many other users.
• First aid will be present. Please report any issues to the nearest marshal who will assist
• Running is an intense physical exercise. Please do not run if you feel unwell or have any injuries.

Parking - with another bumper field likely, there's no possibility of the Trent Park car park accommodating all the runners plus all the other park users (please note that you MUST NOT use the Hockey Centre car park). And those of you who were there last year will recall the enormous queue to leave. I strongly recommend you consider parking outside the park and walking the last bit. You are athletes after all!!

There are 220 spaces in the Cockfosters tube station car park (EN4 0DZ) and it only costs £1.70 on Sundays.

There are a further 149 spaces in the Oakwood tube car park (N14 4UT), also costing only £1.70. From here you simply walk up Snakes Lane to reach the park.

I'm pretty sure that there's also unlimited parking on Sundays in the streets surrounding East Barnet School (EN4 8PU) which is only just over 1km from the race start.

So there are plenty of off-site alternatives and I'd recommend that you use them - and you should also make a quicker getaway!
