Gunnersbury Park 10k, Bring A Friend Evening & Interval Training

Just a short newsletter this week, with a few key events for the next few weeks

Gunnersbury Park 10km (Entry to close Wed 29th June)

As previously announced Ealing Eagles are working with race organisers MCC Promotions Ltd on the Gunnersbury Park 10k race which will take place at 11am on Sunday 3rd July.

Online entries must close on Wednesday 29th June, so please enter this event yourself as soon as you can and then encourage as many friends, family & colleagues (and even friends of friends on facebook) to enter and we'll try to break last year's attendance of 202 runners.

If you're on facebook, you can "like" the Gunnersbury Park 10km Facebook page and follow the race on twitter @Gunnersbury10k

Bring A Friend and help us reach 50 runners - Wednesday 22nd June

The club has experienced phenomenal growth in the last 5 months and it's fantastic to see so many people enjoying running as a group.  We had a goal for April 2012 of 50 runners on a Wednesday night, but we're so close already (44 last week) that with one big push, we'll get there on Wednesday.  Please invite a friend, family member or colleague along.  We'll have a special group this week for beginners or those returning to running after a long break.  This will involve a couple of gentle laps of Walpole or Lammas Parks with the aim to introduce people to the club and to running in a group.  If there is sufficient demand we'll continue this beginners group each week.

As normal, the Wednesday training runs start at 19:30 from the usual meeting point on Ealing Green (opposite Cafe Rouge).

Interval Training to continue

Ealing Eagles are very pleased to announce that following on from the 6 Interval Training sessions that took place in May & June, these will now become permanent weekly sessions throughout the year.

The overwhelming demand for these sessions, coupled with great Parkrun PBs and the enjoyment of all the runners has made these sessions very successful.

Interval Training is led by Richard (Level 2 Coach) and takes place every Thursday at 19:30 from the usual meeting point on Ealing Green (opposite Cafe Rouge).

Happy Running
