Olympian drops by for coaching chat

Wednesday night Eagles found an Olympian in their midst as triple-jumper Onochie "Larry" Achike dropped by to talk about opportunities for coaching.

Larry, who came 5th at Sydney 2000, has been coaching for 13 years and is a coaching co-ordinator for West London Athletics Network.

He outlined two courses - the one-day Leadership in Running Fitness, and the more extensive Coaching in Running Fitness - the course that Kelvin is currently studying.

If anyone is interested in signing up, now is the time to hop, skip and jump to it as the Mayor's Sports Legacy Fund will currently pay up to 75% of the fees (dependent on volunteering hours) but this is closing shortly.

Larry himself is only coaching for another couple of weeks as he prepares for London 2012. Good luck Larry!
