Ealing Eagles became affiliated to England Athletics in October 2011 and now receives a small number of Virgin London Marathon places each year.

Members who wish to enter the club ballot to win one of the club places must meet the following criteria at the time of the ballot (usually November of the year before the marathon):

• Be a fully paid member of Ealing Eagles Running Club
• Be an England Athletics member (first claim for Ealing Eagles)
• Be an active participant in the club training sessions (e.g 4+ runs per month)

Members must also agree to the following:

• Pay the entry fee of £28
• Continue to be an active participant in the club traning sessions (e.g. 6+ runs per month), especially the longer Sunday runs
• Write a short news article for the club website every 2 weeks during the marathon training and once after the race
• Wear an Ealing Eagles vest on race day
