Weeks 4 and 5
I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel! Have spent the last two weeks in the gym on the g trainer, yoga, body conditioning, circuit training and Pilates. With the later I broke my Pilates virginity last week and my god lads it is difficult! I discovered a new muscle I never realised I had and believe it is called the gluteus minimus. Not sure i have used muscle before in my 34 years on this planet but I certainly know about it now. To find it try laying face down flat on a mat in the gym and with legs straight try lifting both of them off the ground at the same time for 20 seconds. Yep that will be the glutinus minimus that hurts for the next three days!!!!!!
Anyhow on to running matters. I am pleased to say that I have ran two 5 mile sessions on the g trainer at 100% body weight pain free. Small pleasures but I'm absolutely delighted. I'm going to run a half marathon on the running machine today and see how it goes. If all good will continue on running machine all week and fingers crossed be a pace maker and next Sundays half marathon.
I continue to try my hardest to get back on track ASAP!
