It all turned out to be a bad dream………..

Now that a plan has firmly been put into place and knowing what I am supposed to be doing at any given night of the week, my mojo is returning slowly but surely.  Although it still sometimes feels a bit of a mission dragging myself out if only to do a 4 mile solo run, because I couldn’t be arsed to run any further, but hey at least I was out and did run.  I can certainly feel the 4 extra pounds I put on since October time. Never even ate a fecking Mince Pie over Xmas and still put on the pounds. What the hell is that all about.

Had a fab hill session last week. I arrived a bit late (not unusual) so everybody finished before me. When I still needed to do a last lap of “the hill” a handful of Eagles stayed behind and waited until I had completed my session.  That’s true Eagles Spirit. 😊

Saturday is Parkrun day, everybody knows that.  It’s on my plan every Saturday and it’s about as important to me as the air I breath.  Without it I would simply be lost and wonder the street of Ealing aimlessly on a Saturday morning.  As you can tell I am ever so slightly obsessed with Parkrun and obviously my worst nightmare would be if I would miss one.  That is exactly what happened in my dream last week. I woke up almost in a state of hysteria when I thought I had missed Parkrun.  I had dreamed I had woken up and everywhere I looked in the house the clock showed a different time. In a complete state of shock, I thought how could this be??? Surely it can’t be true.  I can’t miss a Parkrun. I am on a serious mission to complete my 250 soon. Noooooooooo this has got to be a nightmare. Luckily it was and I felt relieved to say the least. The world was still in order.  No major disaster had happened. My Parkrun 250 mission is safe.

Went back to track on Tuesday and had a great session which surprised me a bit.  I had forgotten to take my Garmin and I thought that this was all gonna be a bit of a waste.  Well, it wasn’t. I had a really good idea of how fast I was running and hit desired speed/time.  A good session in more ways than one. Running without a watch can be good for you!!

Bye for now
